is a house made out of blocks of snow. They are homes to the Native Artic
People. They are made of snow because snow keeps in the heat. |

igloos. The word igloo means house, he read. |

I is for Igloo. Jack and Annie spent time with the hunter in the igloo on their
adventure in the artic to stay warm.
The igloo had animal skins that covered the entrance and a small stove
inside. |

Northern lights are the name given to the light
phenomenon often seen in the northern regions. It is also called the aurora borealis. In the book, Jack and Annie saw the amazing
lights and referred to it as dancing lights.

In Polar Bears Past Bedtime, the seal hunter
brings Annie and Jack parkas to wear in the Artic to keep them warm. Their parkas were made out of heavy dark
seal skins with fur-trimmed hoods. |
